They had a lot of hospital bills, it was hard keeping the family together, and everything just seemed to be falling apart, just like int he story. Steven feels left out of the family Jeffery's in the hospital and they really dont know whats going to happen to him.
I think Steven cared for his brother when he got hurt because even though Jeffrey might have have been annoying him, he really didn't want any thing bad to happen to Jeff beacause he really loves him.
Bobby, I think that Steven was happy with the tic-tacs because he loves tic-tacs and he knew that Jeffrey knew he liked tic-tacs, so he knew the gift must have come from the heart.
I think that Jefferey will live because, it seems that the meds are keeping the lukemia from affecting his life too much. So as long as he keeps getting his meds he will be fine.

I think that Jeffy will live because if he just died the book would be over. But, he could die at the end so I don't really know. I hope that he lives so it would be a happy ending since the rest is all sad.

Acutally he could die at the end because that would seem to be a twist in the story that effcts everyone's life that interact with anyone in that family.
Josh M- I dont think the story will be ruined if he doesnt live, what if its the ending to the story? Not all stories are going to have happy endings, and not all stories are ruined if the character doesnt live. For example on CSI Las Vagas one of the detectives dies who was a big character, the show isnt ruined.
I thought the part when they talked about Jeffrey getting a shot would have really scared me and make me feel super sad. How do you think Steven felt and Why?

My role was Disscussion Director. A question i wrote was, How would you react to the doctors and nurses if you were in Steaven or Jeffrey's place? I came up with this question by, asking myself how i would feel. My answer would be, I would feel scared and akward in the position that Jeffrey was in. If I were Steven I would be very confused and worried about my little brother.

I asked that question because, I wanted to see how that one question could change the whole subject.The answer that I had was that Jeffrey would have not gone to the E.R., Steven would not have fallen back in his work and and jeffrey would not have the nose bleed and the story would have preety much been diffrent. But,Jeffrey would still have had A.L.L. so the story would still have the same affect as when Jeffrey had the nose bleed. This my response to everyone exspesally thrid period on this book.
I think he picked the drums because he thought it would make him much cooler and maybe he thought it would impress renee, and maybe he thought the drums were made for him. (so far he is impressing her with the drums)
-Bobby I think Steven was happy that he got tic-tacs because they came from his brother, once he got the tic-tacs he knew that Jeffrey was thinking about him and the thought is what counts. I would feel the same way if i got a small gift from my sister. As i said before its the thought that counts.

bobby- i dont think they will let the main charter in the book die. if they find a cure fast enough they may save his life. but i dont thing they would make one of the main charters die in this book.
-pat Then mayby Jeffrey shouldent die period. I mean he is still young but if he does die at the end maby the author could make a second book about the years after Jeffreys death.
