My role was discussion Director.i sort of like the book but its kind of confusing cause the way it switchs parts. My question is Do you think the Girls at Toswaih new school like her?why?
Im the artfull artist and I drew a picture of Evie standing alone in the school yard not trying to make any friends and there are other groups of kids standing near her. why is evie standing alone and not trying to make any friends.
I was artful artist I drew a picture of when a girl in Eire's schhol was getting picked on by other kids.Then Eire came told them to stop making fun of the girl.Would you guys do the smae to a girl in your school if she was getting picked on beacues she had a very bad problem? I think i would beacues i don't think its cool when people get picked on for no reason
My job was literary luminary,and the exsiting part in the book was when tyweiah was talking about her old school and the girl that she sat behind had lice and at first she didn't know what was crowling around in her hair,and than she shouted "bugs"!I picked it because it was a good thing that she warned everyone that she had lice cause than the bugs would get on other people.
My role was literary luminary for my group. In the story there was a phrase that Mamma always told Evie and Anna. The phrase was "you might be in pain, but you've got a fire".I picked this phrase because it was a very interesting that your in pain but you have a fire that goes with you where ever you go. What do you think Mamma ment when she said this to her daughters? When Mamma said this to her daughter i think it ment that even though you girls might be upset you will still have a peice of home that follows you.
peightyn,I don't think the girls at tywiah's school like her because in the book they act like they think she's weird and they only like her when she wares somthing pritty like her sister's autome sweter.
I think that Evie is standing alone and not trying to make any friends beacuse her father told her not to. The reason why her father told her not to beacuse that friend might tell people who she really is then Evies father could go to jail.
I think that the one girl toswiah at evie's school does kinda like Evie because the time she came up to Evie and said what was you cousin like?,she actually stoped to talk to her and instead of being rude she was nicer to her alone than with a group of friends.
How do you think Evie's dad feels?Why? My opinion is i think he feels horrible about putting two guys in jail that he has been friends with for a while but not only does he feel bad about that i also think he feels bad about that boy dieing because they thought he was in a gang.How would there be a gang though if Evie's dad in the story sayes that in the town there werent many African american boys,so i think Evies dad did the good thing.
Devon actually her mother told her she couldn't make any new friends becuase she wanted to on the safe side. Also because they might get attached to people and want to tell every thing that has been going on with Evie's life.
Thats a good comment Caitlyn but i would like to argue it. I think some of the girls at school might like her but don'y show it beacuse there old friends might ditch them for someone new.
